Abstract: Provides alternative rubric and framework (notes that the VALUE rubrics are more detailed than the alternative described in the study) for service learning - purposefully created an accessible framework for "faculty who may lack experience and disciplinary training in quantitative and qualitative outcomes-based assessment of student performance" (p. 53). Holistic assessment scoring approach – led to need for assignment redesign.
